Apprenticeships at the market leader LUKAS-ERZETT – get started on a successful future

Whether it’s milling or drilling, the professionals depend on quality tools that last. That’s why they source their tools from LUKAS-ERZETT GmbH & Co. KG – become part of our team and get started on your apprenticeship at LUKAS!

Increasingly, in today’s working world, academic qualifications are no longer the only route to success. Practical skills, expertise, and industry know-how that have been acquired and developed during an apprenticeship, are becoming more and more valuable – especially in the tool industry. This is one of the most crisis-proof industrial sectors because tools simply cannot be replaced by artificial intelligence.

In contrast to commencing a course of study immediately after finishing school, an apprenticeship offers you the opportunity to gain practical experience from day one and lets you specialise in a specific occupational field. This enables apprentices to quickly develop professional skills. The “hands-on” mentality at LUKAS allows them to acquire the specialised expertise necessary for a successful career.

LUKAS-ERZETT as a company is a strong community of about 700 employees worldwide who are committed to the highest quality and continual ongoing development. With ultra-modern production locations in England, Spain, China, the Czech Republic and South Africa, and more than 85 years of company history, LUKAS has a wealth of experience. LUKAS sets high standards for quality and product safety, and combines these with innovative solutions to handle the challenges of the future. That is why we always look out for the latest technologies and developments from a range of industries. In contrast to a Bachelor or Master’s degree, an apprenticeship not only provides you with the theory, but gives you the chance to put your knowledge into practice right away. From day one at LUKAS, you work together with experienced colleagues and experts and you benefit directly from their expertise and advice.

We aim to combine quality and reliability with the answers to the questions of the future. To this end, we promote young talent, and this is reflected by the above-average remuneration during the apprenticeship period. Apprentices (m/f/x) at LUKAS-ERZETT benefit from a well-rounded package. In addition to the classic components such as a contribution to the company pension scheme and capital accumulation benefits, LUKAS also offers a transportation allowance including travel to and from the vocational college. Additional one-off payments and profit-sharing bonuses are also made from time to time. A typical training day features a meal in the company restaurant, in-house instruction by experts, an e-learning platform (including your own personal iPad!), numerous specialist seminars, as well as a professional contact person for all issues – and, to ensure that you are optimally prepared for all your exams, LUKAS provides comprehensive exam preparation assistance. And last but not least: There is of course a class trip for all apprentices!

Do you like spending time with your colleagues after work, or maybe you’re looking for a new hobby? Then why not join apprentices and employees alike in the LUKAS football team or join the LUKAS choir. This way, you can quickly get to know your colleagues in other departments and have fun in the evenings. As an employer, LUKAS attaches great importance to creating an environment in which employees can develop their potential and flourish. The corporate culture is based on openness, teamwork and the pursuit of excellence, and offers numerous development opportunities.

Your role also includes the management and monitoring of process flows, commitment of goods to storage, and carrying out production controls. You inspect the components that are produced by a machine – this is a routine job and only takes a glance, but today you notice an imperfection in one of the components. You stop the machine. As the machine and plant operator, you are familiar with how it works and you know how to correct any errors caused by the machine. Your craftsmanship and your expertise are called on in various ways.

  • Construction Mechanic (sheet metal construction)

You manufacture metalwork constructions of all kinds. In order to manufacture metal frames, panelling and protective equipment, you will regularly make use of machines that you have programmed yourself. You also carry out the maintenance and repair of machine components. Having completed your apprenticeship, you will be expert in soldering and welding. You are meticulous and good with your hands. You have good spatial awareness and a good technical understanding. If so, then construction mechanics is just the right career for you.

  • Electronics Technician for Building and Infrastructure Systems

During this apprenticeship, you learn to plan, install, maintain, monitor, control and optimise technical installations in buildings. These include heating, ventilation, electrical and security systems. You will fit assemblies, install switchgear, and evaluate data. You will also learn how to check specifications and implement them, while all the time, learning how to plan effective and economical workflows.

  • Industrial Management Assistant

What actually happens between product manufacture and product sale? In the various company departments such as sales, purchasing, marketing, e-commerce, HR, and financial accounting, you will acquire a broad range of knowledge and develop commercial, organisational and business skills. Through your contact with colleagues, customers and suppliers, you can practice and improve your communicative skills.
