Greater efficiency, excellent quality – optimise your milling tasks with the burr coatings from LUKAS-ERZETT.
Tool manufacturer LUKAS-ERZETT has a clear answer to the question of how to make milling many different materials even more efficient: with its burrs. And with coatings that increase wear resistance and reduce machine loads, while simultaneously improving the chip removal rate.
Individual optimisation with burr coatings from LUKAS-ERZETT

A choice of HM or HSS burrs. A range of head diameters, head lengths, toothing grades, shapes and shank diameters. Burrs for chamfering, deburring, precisely machining weld seams or inverse deburring in hard-to-reach areas such as pipes, housings or containers. The extensive range of burrs from tool manufacturer LUKAS-ERZETT leaves practically nothing to be desired. Thanks to their different toothing grades and constituents, these tools are suitable for use on a broad range of materials, including steel, cast iron, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, as well as plastic, wood, titanium, stone and building materials. But that’s not all.
According to the tool manufacturer, the five different coatings HeavyDuty, LightFlow, AIICoat, ThermoShock and LowFriction can increase wear resistance, reduce machine loads and improve chip removal rates, for example. This not only enhances the burr’s performance, but also helps you work more efficiently. The coatings also contribute to a top-class surface finish.
LUKAS-ERZETT burrs with LightFlow coating: High wear resistance combined with outstanding friction and non-stick properties
Whether for machining graphite, aluminium, copper, carbon or wood – LUKAS-ERZETT milling burrs with the LightFlow coating offer significantly better performance than burrs without it. This is because the LightFlow coating ideally reduces friction between the tool and the material surface. The rainbow-coloured LightFlow coating made of carbon (TT®-ta-C) is not only very thin, but also extremely hard. The minimal coating thickness prevents edge rounding on the burrs, and their cutting edges stay razor-sharp even after the tool coating. The extreme hardness improves and extends the tool life. Additionally, burrs with a LightFlow coating do not become clogged with milled aluminium chips, for example, or do so less quickly. There is no sticking and practically no galling, as the experts from LUKAS-ERZETT say here. In short: thanks to LUKAS-ERZETT burrs with the LightFlow coating, users can work for longer without having to clean or replace the burr. The excellent friction and non-stick properties of the LightFlow coating also mean that little force is required and the tool runs smoothly without chatter or vibrations.
Burrs with HeavyDuty coating: For machining extremely hard and abrasive materials
As the name implies, LUKAS-ERZETT burrs with the HeavyDuty coating made of titanium aluminium nitride (TiAIN) are designed for especially challenging milling work under extreme conditions. The abrasion-resistant coating with an alloy of the metallic elements aluminium (Al), titanium (Ti) and the non-metal nitrogen (N) is characterised by its particularly tough hardness and low thermal conductivity. Burrs with the HeavyDuty coating can therefore withstand high mechanical and thermal loads, such as those that often arise when machining extremely abrasive and hard materials like steel, stainless steel and non-rusting steels, for longer.

LUKAS-ERZETT burrs with the HeavyDuty coating also impress with their extreme toughness and oxidation stability. This makes them ideal for milling work at higher speeds and feed rates as well as for dry machining different materials – with a longer tool life compared to uncoated burrs.
Special coatings for special milling requirements: LUKAS-ERZETT AIICoat, LUKAS-ERZETT ThermoShock and LUKAS-ERZETT LowFriction.

In addition to the permanently available burrs with the LightFlow and HeavyDuty coatings, tool manufacturer LUKAS-ERZETT also offers burrs with the three other coatings AIICoat, ThermoShock and LowFriction on request.
LUKAS-ERZETT burrs with AllCoat coating. Thanks to their titanium nitride (TiN) coating, these universal burrs offer enhanced wear protection when machining iron-based materials as well as plastics. The AIICoat coating impresses with its extreme toughness, and is food-safe and biocompatible.
LUKAS-ERZETT burrs with ThermoShock coating. Thanks to their wear-resistant titanium carbon nitride (TiCN) coating, these burrs are suitable for work that can result in abrupt, high thermal loads, for example when milling materials such as high and low-alloy steels or during fine deburring work.
LUKAS-ERZETT burrs with LowFriction coating. Thanks to their carbon-based hard coating (LTE) with its lotus effect, these burrs are particularly suitable for machining long-chipping and smearing non-ferrous metals and aluminium alloys. The LowFriction coating also reduces friction and adhesive wear, and minimises the formation of build-up on the cutting edges.
